  • Life is Good :)

I had the most amazing day off with Morgan yesterday and I want to shout it from the mountaintops, but this old blog will have to do.  I was late for school, so I couldn't go, and we spent the entire day together, watching movies and laughing our asses off.  It's so awesome that after four and a half years (officially my longest relationship- which I just realized yesterday) we still have so much fun together.  I <3 love.

  • I'm a college graduate now?

Apparently so.  Yesterday was the big day, and a great one at that.  I literally hated life when I was in school, and it's amazing how suddenly and drastically graduation has changed my attitude.  It's the beginning of the rest of my life now; I am determined to make it fun, and yesterday was a great start.  It was an early morning as I was up at five for the ceremony at eight, followed by breakfast with the fam (TC Eggington's mmmmmmmmmmmm...), some hot tubbing, vegged out and watched some 30 Rock, washed my car, played laser tag, and went to Dave & Buster's.  And even though it was a day full of fun I also learned a lesson: don't let someone's apathetic attitude stop you from doing things you enjoy, and don't be afraid of trying new things.

Two lessons to live by on the first day of my post collegiate life.  Not bad.

  • When you run out of coffee filters

and you decide you're McGyver and can just use a paper towel instead... expect your coffee to taste like paper towel.  Ugh.

I've been thoroughly disappointed by a lot of things lately, like:
    • Interview With the Vampire (the book)- The movie was awesome (Brad Pitt's hottness and Tom Cruise's craziness probably had something to do with that) and so many people rave about the book and how great of an author Ann Rice is... but really it's just 300+ pages of some whiny vampire feeling sorry for himself.  Booooring.
    • Dazed and Confused- This movie gets so much credit for being so hilarious, and I'll admit there are a few funny parts, but it is definitely NOT one of the funniest movies ever made.  Stoners, maybe smoke a little bit less before you watch this movie next time, or better yet, watch Half Baked instead if you're itchin' for a pothead flick.
    • Steroids- Whoa!  Where'd that come from?!  My doctor.  Yep!  I have a sinus infection, which is quite unpleasant and probably at least a contributing factor in my bitchery of late, and my doctor prescribed me steroids.  I just don't get it: if you're body does it's best healing when you're asleep and steroids make you not sleep for three days how the hell are you supposed to get better?!?
That's enough bitching for today.... or at least this morning.
